Viking Repair Bothell, WA (206) 472-1140

01 Bothell, WA · Viking only

Viking ranges and built-ins, put right the first visit.

We are an independent repair shop working one manufacturer across Bothell — pro-style ranges, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration and panel-ready dishwashers. Measured diagnostics, a written number before anything comes apart, and no interest in selling you a part you do not need.

  • Technicians 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days, line answered 24/7
  • $89 service call, credited in full to the repair
  • One brand — Viking, nothing else
Stainless gas range with the oven door open and empty, a rack on the floor and a wrench resting on the counter.

02 What we fix

Four appliances, one manufacturer, no guessing.

Everything below is a Viking job we run most weeks in Bothell. If your symptom is on one of these lists, we have almost certainly seen it on your model.

  • Gas cooktop with a burner cap removed, the oven door open below and a wrench on a towel on the pulled-out rack.

03 How a call runs

Three stops between your phone call and a working appliance.

No mystery middle step. You know the fee before we drive out and the repair price before anything is unbolted.

  1. 1

Wall-mounted range hood opened to show the blower wheel, with two baffle filters and a nut driver on the counter.

Tell us the model and the symptom

The plate is behind the kick panel on a range, on the left door frame inside a refrigerator. With that and a plain description of what the appliance is doing, we can usually name the likely part before anyone drives out.

    Five minutes on the phone

  2. 2

Screwdrivers, pliers, a nut driver and a wire brush laid out with mounting brackets, screws and nuts on a towel.

    Diagnostic in your kitchen

Gas pressure at the manifold, element resistance, thermistor readings, drain and pump behaviour under load. We measure rather than swap parts to see what happens.

$89 service call, credited to the repair

  3. 3

Hinge plates, a roller and a spring laid out with pliers, screwdrivers, nut drivers and a wire brush on a cloth.

A number before anything opens up

Parts and labour written out, model-specific components quoted by part number. If the sensible answer is to leave it alone or replace the unit, we say so and you have only paid for the diagnostic.

    You approve, then we start

Not sure which of the three you need yet? Call (206) 472-1140 and describe it — the first stop is free.

04 Why us

A small independent shop that does one brand properly.

  • Viking only

One brand, so the failure patterns are familiar. We are not learning your range on your time.

  • Bothell-based route

Downtown, Canyon Park, North Creek and Queensborough sit inside our daily run, not a regional dispatch board.

  • Priced before we start

An $89 service call, then a firm number. No approval, no work — and nothing gets opened up first.

  • Model-specific parts

Igniters, thermistors and control boards ordered to your serial, never a universal substitute.

Diagnose it yourself first, if you can.

Written from actual Bothell service calls. If one of these saves you a visit, that is a good outcome for both of us.

Viking Oven Runs Cold: Why 350°F Is Really 305°F

Viking Range Burner Clicks But Will Not Light

A Viking surface burner that sparks endlessly without catching is usually a seating or contamination problem, not a dead spark module. How to tell the two apart in ten minutes before you pay anyone in Bothell.

07 Questions

The eight things people ask before they book.

Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask on the phone — we would rather talk you out of an unnecessary visit than take the fee.

How soon can someone get to a Bothell address?

Calls booked before 11am usually get a slot the same day, and almost always the next. Downtown Bothell, Canyon Park, North Creek and Queensborough are on our standing route, so those addresses tend to get the earliest windows.

What does the service call cost, and is it credited?

The service call is $89 flat. It covers the visit and the full assessment, and it comes off the total in full if you approve the repair. You get the repair price before anything is disassembled.

When can I reach you, and when do you actually come out?

Two different things. Technicians work 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days, so visits are booked inside that window. The phone line itself is answered 24/7, and the booking page takes a request at any hour.

My burner clicks but will not light. Is that the igniter?

Often it is not. A clicking spark module with no flame usually means the burner cap is misaligned or the port is blocked with boil-over, or that the spark electrode is wet after a spill. Dry it out, seat the cap square, and only then start suspecting the module.

Do you work on dual-fuel ranges as well as all-gas?

Yes. Dual-fuel ranges bring both worlds — gas surface diagnostics plus electric bake, broil and convection in the oven cavity. Both are on the same service call.

Do you carry parts on the van?

We stock the common failures: spark modules, oven igniters, bake elements, thermistors, door gaskets, drain pumps and wash-arm bearings for widespread Viking model families. Anything serial-specific is ordered and fitted on a second short visit.

Is a 40-degree temperature swing in the oven normal?

No. A healthy Viking oven cycles roughly 15–25 degrees either side of the setpoint. A consistent 40–60 degree shortfall points at a drifting thermostat or a failing bake element, and both are calibratable or replaceable.

Are you affiliated with Viking Range?

No. We are an independent repair company. Viking is a trademark of Viking Range, LLC; we use the name only to describe the equipment we service.

What if the repair is not worth doing?

We tell you. On a fifteen-year-old unit with a failed compressor or a cracked oven cavity, the honest answer is sometimes replacement. You pay the $89 service call and nothing else.

  • Two burners on our 48-inch range had gone lazy and yellow, and another company wanted to replace both assemblies. He checked manifold pressure before touching a part — the regulator had drifted out of spec. Both are back to a tight blue cone.

    Marissa D.Canyon ParkSep 2025

  • Our panel-ready dishwasher kept leaving water in the sump. He pulled the screen, found a chunk of glass wedged in the drain impeller, and made no attempt to sell me a new pump.

    Doug R.QueensboroughAug 2025

  • Top cavity took forty minutes to reach 350 and the lower one behaved perfectly. He compared element resistance between the two, found the upper bake element open, and swapped it out.
